Collaborate

I’m a firm believer in the power of networking and collaborations and am always interested in meeting new people and hearing about new projects and ideas. Even if your work isn’t in the writing or publishing industries, I would still love to chat. Below are a few things I’d like to try my hand at (or have before). If you’re interested in any of them, or have something else in mind,

  • Lyric writing (I’d love to find a recording musician to work with)
  • Co-authored stories
  • Collaborative writing
  • Journalism
  • Podcasts
  • Broadcasting
  • Screenwriting
  • Film
  • Sport coverage (specifically the fine sport of American Football)
  • Game design (story development)

Derek, I tried to send you an email, but it keeps getting bounced back as undeliverable. Not sure what’s going on with that. Something you might want to look into? Anyway, my message regarding collaborations is this:

Congratulations on the success of your Gryphon Wars Trilogy. Well done. A quick question: I may be blind, but it doesn’t appear that you have any audiobooks available of any of your work. Is this something you are interested in exploring? I ask because I am an audiobook narrator and producer who specializes in fantasy & science fiction and I really enjoy working with independent authors. You can find some of my credits and links to samples of my work on my website here: https://www.arquinworlds.com/audio

Please let me know if you’d like to discuss any audio collaborations.

    Have a great day!

    Yours,

    J.S. Arquin

      Hi JS,

Not sure what happened with my email! I was actually wrapping up production of my audiobook series with Kate Rudd when you messaged me. Thanks for reaching out!

Since you like networking, I’ve got the contact info for a young graphic artist. Another author I follow mentioned in one of his news letters that he was looking for someone to redraw the maps for his fantasy series. I mentioned that my friend drew one for to use for s themed campout a couple years ago and that it looked like it was straight out of LOTR. If you need maps or artwork is be happy to pass along his contact info.
